Hello there! I'm Renie, and you're at my website. Thanks for visiting! Here, I'll tell you a little bit about myself.

I'm 29 years old, and live in Elkhart, Indiana. I guess I've wanted to be an actress since I was in the 2nd grade. When we had to read aloud, I would be the only one who would read with any sort of enthusiasm, and when we read plays aloud, I read with expression, thus garnering strange looks from my classmates.

I've never been afraid to perform in front of others, although I used to get nervous when I was younger. Now, I do get a small case of the opening night jitters, but it passes quickly.

As you can see from my resume, I have done lots of plays and few films. However, films are where I'd love to be able to do most of my work. I've been lucky enough to be an extra in 2 major motion pictures (when I was in "Rudy," I got to meet Sean Astin, and damn, is he short! He's got a good handshake, though.) I was even on screen for 2 seconds; I was so thrilled! I thought I'd be on the cutting room floor.

I know I've picked a truly harsh business. It can be especially harsh for us big girls, too. Although I am happy to see that there are more plus-sized actresses in major films and on TV shows than there used to be, I think that Hollywood still has a long way to go.

Because I'm not emotionally ready and financially unable to move to L.A., I figured that my best bet would be to try and get into films that are shot in Chicago. That way, I'm still close to home, and I could possibly maintain somewhat of a professional acting career. I want to do anything I can...be an extra on "ER," or have a small role in some indie film. It doesn't matter to me, because experience is experience, and I know that someday, some bigwig might see me in some little film that plays in a local film festival and think, "hey, she's good...I want her to be in my next film opposite Keanu Reeves. She can play his girlfriend."

Ok, so I'm dreaming there, but you never know!

As far as non-acting hobbies go, I love singing, although I can't read music. I love watching movies, reading, playing with my 3 Chihuahuas, and worshipping Keanu Reeves. I completely love the man. Got to see him in person twice when he performed with his band Dogstar in Chicago. Almost met him the second time I saw him, but it didn't happen. I cried. And cried. And cried. And...well, you get the picture.

I guess what drives me the most now is my mom. She passed away on June 11, 2003. She was always so proud of anything I did. Being the only child, I was her everything, and she let me know it every day. She was thrilled when I got to be in "Rudy," and was thrilled whenever I got a part in a play at the Opera House. She wasn't able to come see my last few shows, but she was thrilled nonetheless. I want to keep making her proud. I want to reach some kind of success in this business.

And, I also want to meet Keanu.

Thanks for visiting my site, and I hope you'll keep me in mind when casting for your films. Have a wonderful day!!
